Sveva is a simple girl, she lives in Casalbuttano, a remote village in the countryside of Cremona. She has loved sports since the first grade: she played basketball, enrolled in a dance school and enjoyed roller skating.
One spring day, in first grade, the janitor Roberto, who saw her running and jumping in the corridors, decided to contact the coach of the Casalbuttano athletics group Annunzio Monfredini: in that moment Sveva was catapulted into the world of athletics.
She fell in love with it immediately, as if she were in her natural habitat, a magical place where she could be serene and give the best of herself.
At her first athletics competition in Cremona, Sveva ran the 40 meters hurdles, and, after the last one, instead of reaching the finish line… she went back to the start!
Sveva grew up between the walls of the gym and the streets of her village, she could see the athletics track only during competitions.
At the age of 14, trained by Paolo Cibolini, she began to specialize in javelin throwing, with the first qualification for the Under-15 national criterium of Cles 2010 and Jesolo 2011..
After the death of Cibolini, she definitively started to train in the nearby Cremona with the coach Pietro Frittoli. In 2016 her passion for throwing led her to win a silver medal at the Under-23 Italian Championships in Lucca. .
In June of the same year, Sveva began dealing with combined track and field events a bit for fun and immediately, at the first race, managed to score 4605 points, which was the minimum participation score for the absolute Italian championships in Turin 2015.
After several Heptathlon competitions, Sveva acquired self-awareness and fell in love with these events more and more.
In march 2017, for the first time, she was summoned to a meeting of the National team of combined track and field events. In Lana, in May, she won the first Under-23 Italian title and absolute title (5420 points) during two exciting days, with an improvement of 1 meter in the shot put and with an improvement of 1 second in the 200-metre dash, exceptional results that led the newspapers to call her an “ALIEN”.
Subsequently she participated in the European Cup of combined track and field events in Monzon where she wore the Italian national team shirt for the first time and in the summer 2017 she competed at the U-23 European Championships of Bydgoszcz where she scored 5437 points, her personal record.
In November 2017 she had surgery on her deadlift ankle and dedicated the first part of the following season to physical recovery.
She returned to the track at the absolute Italian Championships in Pescara and on September 9, 2018, defending Lana’s title, she won another gold medal, with a score of 5322 points.
In January 2019 she imposed herself for the first time in the indoor Pentathlon in Padua, winning the absolute title also in these events.
In November 2018 she graduated as a radiology technician, in February 2019 she began working in two clinics: in the beautiful town of Crema and in Parma. Despite this change, Sveva tried to organize her time in the best way possible and dedicated every free moment to training and giving the best of herself.
In May 2019 she participated, out of competition, in the U-23 junior Italian championships where she scored 5597 points, her new personal best, the fifteenth best Italian performance of all time.
At the beginning of July she took part in the Rivera Brava European Cup in Madeira where, after a fantastic start in the 100 meters hurdles, at the sixth one she collided with the barrier. Her great determination pushed her to finish the heptathlon competition, bringing a score of 5410 points to the Italian team.
On July 27 and 28, 2019 she returned to the track at the absolute Italian championships in Bressanone, she was eager to prove herself and, with a formidable race, got the eighth best Italian performance ever with 5907 points and with an improvement of 310 points compared to the previous record.
In Ancona, in February 2020, she set the personal record in indoor pentathlon with a score of 4031 points, winning the second consecutive Italian title.
On August 29, 2020, in Padua, she won with 5741 points, her fourth absolute national title in the heptathlon. No athlete in Italy has ever managed to win 4 consecutive national titles in the heptathlon events.
On April 25, 2021, at the Multistars meeting in Lana (Bolzano, Italy), after returning from muscle injury, she ranked 12th with 5718 points, surprising everyone for her incredible recovery.
On May 16, 2021, at the second Meeting in Florence (formerly 12 + 12 | Hepta + Deca) she got her second personal best performance ever in the heptathlon: 5804 points!
On January 30, 2022 Sveva made the history of Athletics again for having set the national record of combined track and field events in pentathlon with 4434 points. The unbeaten record since 2009 belonged to the heptathlete Francesca Doveri.
